Straight projection mapping has become the norm (Hello Olympics!) and while it is still a lovely thing to see when done well, we need some new innovation in creative projection.
This event from about 9 months ago seems like it hit it spot on pretty well.
The combination of projection mapping plus 3-D water projections make this experience rise above a simple mapping project. It helped that it included some well known names in Basketball, in their hometown as well.
