Twinkies, You Let Someone Else Do This!

Artist Jennifer Rubell created this padded room (sometimes I need one of those), but the special bit about this one is that the padding was created from 1800 cones of cotton candy! According to Foodaddiction:

'It is an object that addresses the dark side of pleasure, the price of pleasure, the possibility that pleasure is its own punishment.’

I think there is a great opportunity here for a brand to use this idea in an interesting and attention getting way.

When Banner Ads Go Wrong!

One of my main criticisms of online banner ads is how generally un-targeted many of them are. Companies are willing to buy remainder and ROS type ads without thinking of the context that those ads may have when related to the content they are placed against.

Not only did this LiveStream from OccupySF have a pre-roll ad for Wal*Mart, but it also had this little gem of a banner riding across the bottom.  Wonder if some Tea Party types may take it a little too seriously?
