Snakes, Why Did It Have To Be Snakes!

Just seen on GuerrillaComm, a creative piece of transit advertising for the Copenhagen Zoo. I have heard of passengers getting squeeze by mass transit, but this snake is taking it a bit too far!

Interference's own Mad Genius-In-Residence, Alpay Kasal, created this little holiday gem. Based on the technology we utilized for GE's Twitter Windows, he created a set of Christmas tree ornaments that have LED lights in each of them.

Each ornament is tied to a specific holiday word, which when anyone mentions in it in a tweet, causes the light to flash. Twitter search terms include: Christmas, Xmas, Santa, mistletoe, peace, cheer, consumerism, joy, presents, jingle bells, happy new year, 2010, and many more. So get to tweeting those words and make this tree light up!

So 223 People Walk Into A Condom...

A flash condom mob in Italy to "Stop Aids In It's Tracks", which is focused on saving babies in Zimbabwe from contracting AIDS. This great event was coordinated by Cesvi, a NGO sponsored social network in Italy. The event ended up getting a lot of media attention and as well raised some much needed funds for the health of the kids in Zimbabwe. And it looks like a lot of fun to boot. Check out the video below.

3 Perfect Songs - The Crowdsourced MixTape

I tried a social experiment on Facebook and Twitter. I asked people to give me what they considered to be 3 perfect songs. Not necessarily the best or the most popular, but 3 that just hit them as having all the elements of a perfect track. The idea was to gather these to then create the crowdsourced perfect song mixtape for an upcoming holiday party soundtrack. The songs vary, but the common theme is people's passion for the songs collected. So with eliminating redundancy and what may be considered joke tracks, the following will be the playlist. I will let you know how they go over after the party.

Our friends at Guerrilla Communication just reported on this fantastic 'I wish I had thought about this' idea from Converse to turn old shoe boxes into pinhole cameras and then use the images in your social networks. So simple and yet so smart. Activating the emerging creative class, in any market, is a great way to get attention from those very same people who are using the social media tools to share their passions.
