Advertising You Can Like.

Rarely do I find advertising I like. For every Bravia bunny commercial, there are hundreds of Head-Ons and You Must Be Gellins out there. However, sometimes a brand does get a good idea. One of the categories I am most interested in in the digital video space is that of animation, stop motion and time lapse. These low-budget (sometimes) special effect shorts are popular, engaging and often very clever. The following spot about a guy who draws how he and his girlfriend met via stick figures on his body is very compelling. A good idea and the branding (supposedly made on a Samsung G800 mobile device) is minimal and relevant. It does not hurt that it has over 5 million views on youtube, which says to me that this is an effective communication from a brand to target audience.
